Trustly is not your usual online payment method. You can’t find an interface for Trustly and sign up. Rather, your bank must be partners with Trustly.
It’s primarily because Trustly is an online bank transfer method rather than an e-wallet. It means it connects your bank account with the vendor’s bank account to carry out the transaction.
It’s primarily because banks don’t partner up with casinos that use Trustly directly. The government regulation doesn’t allow them to do it because it may lead to severe money laundering! So, Trustly comes in the middle.
If you’re familiar with how Interac e-Transfer works, that’s the model Trustly uses too. The difference is that Trustly operates on an international level and has amazing technology in place to seamlessly carry out deposits and withdrawals.
If your bank is partnered up with Trustly, you don’t have to do anything additionally. When you try to deposit real money, you’ll have to select the bank that you have an account with. If you can’t find the bank, it unfortunately means you can’t use Trustly casinos.
In retrospect, this is a very new method in the country. Trustly has been in operation since 2008. But it started in Canada back in 2020 only. So, there might still be a little gap between the total number of online casinos and casinos that use Trustly. But rest assured that the gap is closing very fast.
